Westfield Old Orchard Invites You to Summer of Sound
Westfield Old Orchard, Chicagoland's premier shopping center and lifestyle destination, is bringing summer to life with a full season of programming and community events. From free live concerts to family-friendly activities and new store openings, summer at Old Orchard promises something for everyone.
Headlining the season is the return of the "Summer of Sound" concert series, bringing free, open-air performances to the heart of Old Orchard. This year's lineup features two unforgettable evenings: Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press on Friday, July 31, followed by Smash Mouth on Friday, August 28. Concerts will take place from 7–9 p.m. CT in Bloomie’s Court, complemented by beverage offerings from select dining partners, including Capital Grille and Hampton Social on July 31 and Roka Akor and Bar Siena on August 28. Additionally, guests who spend $200 or more at any retailer during the week leading up to each concert will have the chance to win an exclusive meet-and-greet with the band.

Throughout the season, Old Orchard will host a mix of recurring experiences for all ages:
Skokie Heritage Museum Walking Tours: New this season, these guided tours will run April through October, offering a deeper look into the history of the center, Skokie and the surrounding area, with the next tour scheduled for May 20.
Windy City Market: Running June through October, this open-air market brings together a rotating mix of local makers, food vendors and small businesses. A special PAWS Chicago pet adoption event will take place on July 11, offering guests the chance to meet adoptable animals.
Tone & Toast: Held from June through August near the glass cube, this Sunday morning series brings together fitness instructors from brands like Vuori, Fabletics and Lululemon for energizing workouts followed by light bites, giveaways and time to "toast’ with refreshments from CUPITOL The Restaurant.
Little Orchard Kids Club: Guests can enjoy a family-friendly series held in the play area near L.L. Bean, featuring hands-on crafts, live entertainment for kids and build tables hosted by LEGO®. The June 16 event includes a Magical Bubble Show and July 14 features a sing-along with Miss Jaime and Friends.
Classic Car Show and Blood Drive: On June 21, July 19 and August 16, the property will host a seasonal showcase of vintage and collector vehicles displayed throughout the center, paired with a community blood drive on August 16.
In addition to its seasonal programming, Westfield Old Orchard offers a variety of ways for guests to enjoy the center throughout the summer – from dining al fresco at one of its celebrated restaurants to grabbing a coffee and strolling the open-air property. To beat the heat or escape a sudden summer storm, guests can also take advantage of a range of indoor experiences, from mini golfing at Puttshack to catching a movie at CMX Luxury Cinemas.
Building on these offerings, the center welcomes a steady wave of new retail and experiential concepts. Recent arrivals like POP Mart, Blue Bottle Coffee, LEGO and Boll & Branch, along with the reopening of Barnes & Noble, have added to the center’s growing lineup of shops and experiences, while guests can look forward to Squishable, Hello Kitty Café and COS coming soon.
