Halloween is one of the most colorful holidays on the calendar. And although kids wait all year to dress up and trick or treat, grown-ups have a great time on All Hallows Eve, too. Here are three Halloween cocktail recipes that’ll get you in the right mood for a ghouly party, alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions included!

Jack-o’-lantern Martini

Let’s start with a jack-o’-lantern-inspired martini that brings forward the season’s flavors. Pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spices do the trick! For a non-alcoholic version, leave the vanilla vodka and substitute it with two drops of vanilla extract.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz vanilla vodka

  • 2 oz pumpkin puree

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 2 oz half and half

  • A pinch of pumpkin pie spice

  • Chocolate syrup

  • Whipped cream as a garnish

Add the vodka, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, half and half, and pumpkin spice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 10-15 seconds until chilled, well mixed, and frothy.

Do your best to decorate a martini glass with chocolate syrup, as if drawing the eyes and mouth of a jack-o’-lantern, and immediately pour the pumpkin cocktail into the glass. Top with whipped cream.

Snickers Cocktail

Halloween and candy are the same, and chocolate bars always play a role in such a spooky occasion. Why eat a Snickers bar when you can drink it? For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the Kahlua, Baileys, and Amaretto with chocolate milk and two drops of vanilla and almond extract.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Kahlua

  • 1 oz Baileys

  • 1 oz Amaretto liqueur

  • Caramel sauce

  • Crushed peanuts

  • Crushed

Dip the rim of a rocks glass in caramel sauce and crushed peanuts to create a crust. Add the Kahlua, Baileys, and Amaretto in a shaker filled with ice. Shake for 10 seconds until chilled and frothy, and pour into the prepared rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

Bacon Bloody Mary

Halloween cocktail recipes are more than late-night libations; you can enjoy them during lunch too. This smoky and meaty version of the Bloody Mary will become your favorite Halloween cocktail. For a non-alcoholic version, ignore the vodka.

Ingredients: (serves 4)

  • 3 cups tomato juice

  • Two slices of crispy bacon, crumbled

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Two chipotle peppers from a can

  • 2 oz lemon juice

  • One garlic clove

  • 1/2 tsp celery salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 6 oz vodka

Add all the ingredients into a blender and pour into four glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a celery stick or a crispy slice of bacon. Drink responsively, and Happy Halloween!
