Jon Rahm: LIV Golfers Should Play in Ryder Cup

Will LIV golfers play in the Ryder Cup? That answer could be months away, but #JonRahm feels they should all be allowed to play. The International Presidents Cup team took a hit by the defections to LIV, and Rahm hopes that isn’t the same for the European Ryder Cup team. At the moment, those wishing to make the U.S. Ryder Cup team will be unable to participate. While LIV golfers can still play in the DP World Tour events, the situation is uncertain regarding Ryder Cup play.

Phillies Make Improbable NL Playoff Run

The #PhiladelphiaPhillies squeaked into the playoffs with 87 wins, despite a September swoon, primarily due to the faltering Brewers in the stretch run. In the playoffs, the Phillies game back from two down in the ninth in game one of the wild card round against the Cardinals. They then took down the defending World Series Champion Atlanta Braves. Bryce Harper put the Phillies into the World Series with a dramatic 8th-inning home run in game five of the NLCS. The NL title was the first for the Phillies since 2009.

Ben Simmons Struggles in Brooklyn Prompting Trade Speculations

The trade of #BenSimmons from the 76ers to the Nets last season has turned out poorly for the Nets. He didn’t play in a single game last season and has underwhelmed during his time on the floor this season. Simmons has already missed four games due to injury and is averaging only 5.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists while shooting poorly for the floor and the foul line. He’s looked lost defensively and has come up in trade talks, most notably with the Dalla Mavericks. Stay tuned!

Philadelphia Eagles Remain Undefeated

Through the first two months of the NFL season, the #PhiladelphiaEagles have surprised the football world as the only undefeated team in the NFL. While naysayers point to a weak schedule so far, the Eagles have dominated nearly every opponent, including handing the 7-1 Vikings their only loss. The Eagles’ success has been the play of quarterback Jalen Hurt, a strong core of playmakers, arguably the best offensive line, and an opportunistic defense that creates turnovers. More challenging games approach with the Titans, Cowboys, and Giants remaining, but the Eagles are in the driver’s seat in the NFC.
