August Artist Profile: Romeyo Wilson

This month's artist profile is on R&B singer Romeyo Wilson. If you have not yet heard one of Romeyo Wilson's songs, you likely will soon: he is by all measures a rising talent in the R&B genre. He currently has well over 30 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify alone, with individual songs such as "Send Nudes," "Freaky Girl," "One Plus One," and his latest hit, "Risking It All," even higher than that in streams.

"Risking It All" is a collaboration with Kiki Rowe and was released on June 3, 2022. Since then, it has racked up over 60 thousand streams on Spotify alone and is currently his most famous song on that platform. This song can now be found on three Spotify playlists: Fresh Finds R&B, Spooning, and Mood Ring. Chances are anyone who has recently listened to any of these three playlists has heard "Risking It All." One can imagine the streams will only increase substantially from here, with "Risking It All" on track to be Romeyo Wilson's most-streamed track within the coming weeks. Its instant success is a testament to Romeyo Wilson's ascent into stardom.

Given he has been putting out music since 2017, including the 2017 album "Angela Vibes" and multiple singles each in 2018 and 2019, the recency of his success is truly impressive.
